Air Transportation:

The closest major airport is George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston. This airport is about 2 hours from campus.

There is a smaller airport closer. East Texas Regional Airport in Longview is about 1 hour away.

Another option would be Shreveport Regional Airport in Shreveport, LA. It is about 1 hour and 45 minutes away.

You may also want to check  Love Field Airport in Dallas which is about 3 hours away or DFW International Airport which is also about 3 hours away. Sometimes you can get cheaper prices at one of these two airports than flying into Bush. There is another airport in Houston - Hobby which should take about 2 and half hours but you have to drive across Houston and deal with that traffic.

We will try to help coordinate travel from the airports. When you book your flights please send us your itenerary. We will try to let people know if there is someone else flying in around the same time so perhaps they could share a rental car or perhaps an in state participant could pick them up. If we have a large number flying into Bush or East Texas Regional about the same time we could arrange a shuttle.
